David joined Gerber Scientific, Inc., as President of Gerber Innovations in 2007 through their acquisition of Boston-based Data Technology, Inc., a leading manufacturer of CAD/CAM cutting systems for the packaging industry worldwide. David held the position of President/CEO of Data Technology for seven years after acquiring the company in 2000 along with a group of private investors. Prior to acquiring Data Technology, David was Vice President of Atlanta-based Diamond Holding Corporation, a privately held manufacturer of printing presses and printing rolls for the graphics industry. Prior to joining Diamond in 1997, David spent nine years within the Jefferson Smurfit Group, the world’s largest paper based packaging group, where he held various management positions culminating in General Manager – Smurfit Display. David is a graduate of Babson College and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration majoring in entrepreneurial studies.
