Steve joined Gerber Scientific, Inc. in May 2007 through their acquisition of Boston-based Data Technology, Inc., a leading manufacturer of CAD/CAM cutting systems for the packaging industry worldwide. Steve joined Data Technology in February of 1997 as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. In 2001 he became a major shareholder in the company and joined the board of directors. Prior to joining Data Technology, Steve was the National Sales Manager of Chicago-based Misomex North America, a leading manufacturer of capital equipment and software systems for the packaging and commercial printing industries. Steve was a partner in a Boston-based software and consultant company that was purchased by Misomex and spent six years with Rand Whitney Packaging Corporation. Steve started his career at his father’s packaging company, Bates Corrugated Box Corporation. Steve holds undergraduate degrees in Business Management and Marketing as well as a Masters of Business Administration degree.
