Bill joined Gerber Scientific, Inc., as Vice President, Engineering of Gerber Innovations in 2007 through their acquisition of Boston-based Data Technology, Inc., a leading manufacturer of CAD/CAM cutting systems for the packaging industry worldwide. Bill joined Data Technology in February of 1988 with responsibility for the design and development of X/Y cutting systems. Over the years he has held the positions of Mechanical Engineer, Chief Engineer, Engineering Manager, and finally V.P. Engineering. In 1975 Bill started his career at Seabrook N.H.-based Circle Machine Co., an O.E.M. specializing in shoe machinery, leather finishing equipment and web based converted fabrics. Starting as an apprentice in the R&D department, Bill worked in all the skilled trade departments for three years, then over the next ten years held the positions of Draftsman, Design Draftsman, Machine Designer, and finally Manager of Development.
